Community and National Support Networks
Epilepsy Foundation (Australia):
Based in Victoria, the Epilepsy Foundation offers individual and family services, lifestyle toolkits, and family education workshops. They also run peer-led support groups for parents and carers to connect with others who truly understand.
Epilepsy Smart Australia:
A nationwide partnership offering comprehensive resource hubs. You can access the National Epilepsy Support Service (NESS) at 1300 761 487 (Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm) for free, direct phone support and guidance from a specialist team.
Epilepsy Action Australia:
Provides community support, individual service planning, seizure management training, and specialty camps for young people.

Epilepsy Management Plans (EMP):
Access official templates through Epilepsy Australia to ensure caregivers, coaches, and extended family members know precisely how to respond during a seizure.
Epilepsy Smart Schools:
A critical resource featuring classroom checklists and student profile templates. This program helps bridge the communication gap between home and school, ensuring educators recognise how epilepsy affects focus and information processing.

Empowering Your Child through Education (Ages 5–12)
Raising Children Network: Offers accessible, parent-focused materials on discussing diagnoses and triggers with children in an encouraging way that prioritises safety without increasing anxiety.
Wellbeing and Mental Health Resources
Kids Helpline:
24/7 counselling service for youth aged 5 to 25. If your child needs a safe space to discuss their feelings, they can reach out at 1800 55 1800.
Carer Gateway:
Supporting a child with chronic health needs requires significant support for carers. This service provides free emotional coaching, financial aid, and respite options for primary caregivers.
